Hello everyone, great resource here and thank you in advance for any guidance. This may or may not be the right area to post this (first time). I'm a ARNG soldier currently going through the MED Board process. My question is about the GI Bill. I'm a REP 63 and have been in training for a little over two years. I enlisted in OCT 14 and have been on AD training since I left for basic. I was injured and am currently starting the MEB. Does anyone know if I qualify for the GI Bill? I'm getting conflicting answers in my research. It says 30 days AD but it doesn't say if ADT counts..... Some places say yes others say no. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you.

You won't be eligible for GI Bill until they medical discharge you off of AD. You need the 214 to show why you was discharged to start receiving GI Bill. This only applies to Post 911.

Active duty training counts after you have a certain amount of days on active duty. I cant remember what number you need to hit for it to count. (might want to reach out to VA).

Make sure you stay on active duty for the entire MEB. As long as your DD-214 shows 30 days of active duty service and a medical discharge you wil get the post 9/11 at the full rate.
