Good Afternoon I'm new here so forgive me. I recently retired medically at 70% DOD and 80% VA. I went with the VA compensation for the tax free option and it was more convenient for me. Either way I received what I believe was my final active duty check on March 30th. My final active duty day was the 25th of March with first retirement day of the 26th. Today, out of nowhere I got a $239 check from "DFAS-CLEVELAND RETSPCL". I have absolutely no idea why I received this check as I only did 2 years and a half years in the service. My disability isn't from combat either so that wouldn't apply.
I got my DD214 a week or so ago and submitted it and my claim is now processing through the VA. Currently in the evidence gathering review stage. I feel like I've covered all my bases but I am genuinely confused. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
