yeah im hoping so too. the VA tells me that my case has been in the final decision phase since 10 September. so hopefully shortly after the new years ill hear something

I called the VA and they told me it was completed on the 13th. They said it was sent to the PEB, so I’m waiting for that FSS email now.

Got it. Yeah I'm betting the DoD will have their part done fairly quickly. If you dont mind me asking, did you have a lot of claims? I had like 23 or 24 and part of me think thats why its taking them so long to rate them.

I had 11 total, but funny enough only one of those claims I didn’t have an exam complete for. So only 10 claims total!

Man my fss email came in on OCT2nd and I'm still waiting on ratings. So I'm going to shed some light on this for you. I was told the way the IPEB works is they make a decision within 2 weeks or so weather you are fit or unfit for duty, if you're found unfit for duty they will send a request to the VA to get your claims rated. Once thoes ratings are returned to the IPEB they can make their final determination on weather you will get medically retired or separated. At that point they send their decisions and your ratings for you to review. The problem is the VA is backed up and what usually takes them 3 to 4 weeks for ratings is now taking them 8 to 12 weeks. Its not the holidays its the sheer number of cases they vurrently have due to the pact act and all the navy cases that were loaded in a few months ago. I'm praying I hear something within the next week or two but chances are I wont get my ratings untill december. My MEB was initiated in Feb. But take this with a grain of salt because every case is different.

I knew it could take up to 3 months or sometimes more to get ratings but I thought thoes were one off situations. I didn't think that was the standard timeline. I said it before and I'll say it again. If I could go back in time I'd go with LDES.
 
I called the VA again and still no update. She said my package hasn't been touched since it was sent in October? But when I called a week ago they said they were working on ratings. I have no clue about anything. They told me my MSC will give me more specific updates but my MSC said he doesn't deal with any of this at all and that all he does is set up my VA exams I did back in August.

Do you know what regional office your claim is at? If so see if you can schedule a meeting with them. I did that and they gave me way more info. If you don't the normal VA number people can tell you what RO it's at.

they tell me the exact same thing.. and when i talk to my peblo or msc they tell me they cant give me updates on anything.
 
all they keep telling me is my exams are complete, and either my ratings haven't been finalized yet or I'm in the decision phase

Thank you. When this whole thinh started like 18 months ago I knew it was gonna be a bumpy road but never in my dreams did I think it would take this long. I was very salty about the timeline but seeing the results now...I can't complain anymore. If you're still waiting on ratings just hang in there. I'll update when I get orders. Peblo said it could be as fast as a week.
