I am currently in the MEDBOARD process and have completed the initial round of appointments which included a vision, behavioral health, general health, and audio exam. After completing the last one yesterday which was the general separation health assessment I received a confirmation e-mail for a new behavioral health appointment which has me confused and a little worried as I have already completed one for the VA. Can anyone shed light on this situation or what this could mean? Is this something I should be worried about or should prepare for?

I'd call the VA MSC and explain the situation.The VA makes errors often. It could be the computer saw you had a claim and the VA scheduler didn't verify what exams have been completed. They then scheduled you for MH erroneously.
It also may depend on how you completed your paperwork with the VA MSC rep.
Did you add any new VA claims or increase requests on the VA claims form

If you were guard or reserves you could have been rated previously.

I have not done any new paperwork since the initial intake work with the VA MSC rep. I was a little confused when the DOC said Major Depressive Disorder despite not being the psych appointment so that might be it? I am just worried that they are not taking the BH seriously.It will depend on how you completed your paperwork with the VA MSC rep.

It sounds like at the BH appointment you were diagnosed with MDD. The VA would then be required to add that to your claims list and send you out for a VA MH exam.

That could be it as I was only referred to the MEB for my shoulder and nothing else but added everything else as additional VA claims?Did you have an initial MH claim on you VA claims form?
