Severance Pay and Sold Leave

I signed my DD214 and I am on terminal leave until March 15th. For reference, my findings were 10%DoD and 70%VA. Because the 15th is a pay day, is it likely that I'll receive the payment for my leave and/or the severance pay? I read a post before that had a similar situation to mine (separating on a payday, selling leave, and severance) and they said they recieved it all with their final paycheck. Also, feel free to ask any questions about my timeline, experience, or advice on getting a job lined up on the outside. I know that the IDES lifestyle is stressful and scary and hopefully I can help some people while I'm looking for advice.

I know this likely will not help, but in the finance system long defunct, the severance would be a stand-alone payment.

More recent reports like what you quoted, would be more accurate.

If this was my case, I would use a search engine like Google and SEARCH for “when will I receive my severance pay?”

Thank you for your comment, I appreciate it a lot. I've been searching for the last few hours actually on Google, reddit, and the DFAS website. I just haven't found anything very helpful other than a few rogue posts on this forum.

This forum helped me a lot through my process so I decided I would finally make an account, hope for the best, and perhaps help some others along the way.

Several stated they received severance pay six months after separation. I doubt it is taking that long now.

So I'm in the exact same boat as you, I separate August 15, 10% dod, 70% va. I sold leave days as well. How long did it take you do get your severance pay?

So I'm in the exact same boat as you, I separate August 15, 10% dod, 70% va. I sold leave days as well. How long did it take you do get your severance pay?
 
I am curious as well. My last day was August 30th. I received my final paycheck but am still owed from selling leave. With the government shutdown looming, I was curious if I would get my first retirement check and leave $ in October.
 
To help some out this was my timeline separating from the Army;

August 30 - ETS/Separated
August 31 - Final Pay with Leave
September 25 - Severance Pay

Still waiting on my final ratings so I can get a refund of the taxes.

My last day was 30Aug, still haven't been paid for leave yet. Retirement pay started today, still waiting on VA.
 
It wasn't severance, just last paycheck with leave; medically retired. I was paid on 20OCT23.

Did you ever get the refund on your taxes? If so, how long did it take for DFAS to process? Thanks!
