VARR timeline

In Nov 2024 I started the MEB process. Received my ratings back from the board 16 March 2025. I didn't agree with my ratings and neither did my attorney, so we submitted a VARR 20 May 2025. I'm just looking to see what the average wait time is for a VARR. Once I do get that back, how much time (estimated) would I have left in service?

4 weeks to 6 weeks the norm. Have seen it go 8+ weeks though. Depends how much work on the table with senior raters at the VA

And do you know what the estimated time is in between me receiving the ratings back and me actually getting out?

Hey just wanted to chime in some knowledge I have here, I'm also currently waiting on results of a VARR, I will say make sure to call the VA, maybe even a few times, because back on the 5th of May, I asked about mine and if there was any information because I submitted it on the 16th of April with no news, they told me nobody had submitted in to whatever regional office that had something to do with it, and went ahead and did it for me. I'm not sure if that'll happen to you, but make sure to do it if you're trying to get through the process sooner.

I'm still waiting, and messaged my PEBLO about timelines today, and they told me they began working on it on the 5th of May, and to expect 30-60 days after that for results.

As far as getting out after, I've read in other posts once you sign for results, we'll begin waiting on orders which may take between 2-4 weeks, where you'll then be given a day to get out, and should be offered to take terminal leave.

i was hoping that wouldn’t be the case but i’m not surprised. really appreciate the heads up man thanks.

How long did it take for you to get the results of your VARR? And once you received the results, how long did it take to receive your orders?
