Wait Time For Providence, RI

@Tony22,

Since you signed your results, I'm assuming, well hoping that you liked them? Were they what you were expecting? Anyways, Congrats on almost being done with this whole Stinkin process!

Thank You! Overall they were very good, but the individual percentages were different than expect. A good example would be my Peripheral nerves were diagnosed as severe. Yet the VA rater gave me a rating for my Ulnar nerve even though they weren't marked even at mild in either arm. I am required to go to a follow up exam on my feet and knees. Even though me being flat footed won't change and I've had Patella Dysfunction in both knees for three years. My VA representative was not happy with that decision by the rater. He suggest I contact the DAV to see about getting it taken care of quickly.

Well, I never thought I would be posting this, but eBenefits has now moved to "Preparation For Decision"! More to follow soon I hope, and I really hope everyone else waiting at Providence will see movement soon as I have!

grats, Im jealous, but grats, your package only arrived 3-4 weeks after mine did, so maybe mine is in the same stack.

I really hope so brother, this process has caused my anxiety and stress level to soar through the roof. I would love to know how they prioritize these packages and find out the rhyme/reason why some packages go before others even though they arrived earlier. Either way, I'm looking forward to the outcome of how fast everyone else's packages get worked compared to mine.

Now eBenefits moves to "Pending Decision Approval", wow a lot of movement in one day, does this mean my ratings are possibly done?

well congrats Frank I feel like we have been going thru this together haha. Well by normal human logic I should have some movement very soon as well seeing as I am only a week behind you, now with VA logic I will probably still be going thru this in a year but I dont wanna be a downer. Now Frank I have been told by my VA rep that once it moves to Preparation for decision and pending decision approval that means you are done with your rating process and they are mailing out your notice to both you and the PEB. From what I hear you will get the VA letter with your proposed rating on it before the DOD finishes up there part. So basically you should be getting a letter in the mail and you know will know your Va rating soon, like in a few days. Then the DOD will do their part and send it to your PEBLO who will inform you of your VA rating and DOD rating and your benefits and such. Then as long as you agree it goes to Marine Corps head quarters and you get your EAS.

Also with that instead of checking e-benefits 5-10 times a day I will probably increase to around 20-30 times a day

The va will not send out a notice to you if your under IDES, thats not to say it wont happen, just that it is not supposed to. The va is only supposed to send the papers to the PEB.

TSgt. Twitch,

I was told that I may receive notification from the VA before AFPC/IPEB gets my results to my peblo and this was told to me by my VA MSC and RCC. I believe it's because I was an IDES case but came off Title 10 back in May, so I'm a vet and they have my DD214, which means according to my VA MSC once the VA is done they send my finalized ratings. Any day know, she says and she for some god forsaken reason can't tell me my ratings and I guess it has to come from Peblo or the final notification letter from VA. I will keep everyone posted and for hope for sure everyones cases are resolved soon.

I called my DAV rep today after it moved to pending decision approval. He said the ratings were definitely completed today but they weren't viewable in the system, WTF! Guess I will have to wait until Monday most likely, wish everyone the best with some movement in their cases!

Aye forgot, yes reservist etc. will get the va packet.

Personally Im in a give up mode right now, I am back on quarters for the second time this month because of flare ups, I am on four hour duty days with no responsibilities except 1 EPR left to close out next week, then I will not even have troops under me. I have been on 6 or 4 hour days since 8 mar 2012, Cannot save money because my wife cannot work outside the home, may/may not win my SSDI case, May may not be rated 100%, still swallowing pills like candy on top of the pain patch and now the stool softeners barely work and I ripped open a surgical scar from a hernia repair straining to poop. I am going to lay in bed, and if work calls I wanna just tell them to report me AWOL if they do not wanna come pick me up, no more skipping pills just to drive back and forth to keep a seat warm for a few hours because "its my duty". somethings gonna give and soon, and with no control over the VA/AFPC that only leaves me. argh sorry vent mode I guess. ill be ok after 72 hours laying in bed trying to find a comfortable position and sleeping between being pissed off.

Indeed, I totally comprehend your medical symptomatology as such I deal with my own on a daily basis for sure! :(

To that extent, please get that well-deserved rest so that I can continue to read your sound insightful feedback to PEB Forum members! Take care, brother! :)

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Best Wishes!

Hey all, a bit after Frank4747 up there, here's my timeline:

12 AUG 2013 PEB decision complete/ packet to VA (Seattle, I'm Regular Army)
~15 NOV 2013 packet sent to Providence
24 JAN 2014 status changed for the first time from "Gathering of Evidence"to "Preparation for Decision" (165 days to date)

Thanks all for your time and effort and contributions to the forum, it's been reassuring to hear your experiences in a process devoid from official guidance or measurable benchmarks for long periods of time. Standing by to see what happens...

Are there any members on here that are active duty and in the Marine Corps?

Ok, so far from the thread I have figured out that most of the active members are either in the Airforce or the Army that's why I asked the question. I actually began the IDES process on Dec 2, 2013 and between then and now I have had all my C&P Exams and now my package is with the VA for rating. My process has been very fast and expedited so far (knock on wood), so I'm a little bit confused on certain timelines that I have seen here thus far. My MSC actually told me to expect a call from my PEBLO in 30-60 days for my VA ratings and given the fact that I just began last month and have been able to get a to the VA rating phase (knock on wood, again) I believe him. Mine is in Provindence too. I guess my question is are there different departments in Providence that handles the different branches or service or are they all intergrated together.

yeah i

yeah ive been seeing alot of that too. Its all intergrated together. if you call the 1800 they just ask for your basic information.

I tried to call the 1800 but I dont think they accept calls during business hours. I will have to call after hours that way I can set up a call back from the VA. I have tried like 5 times to call this morning alone, unless I am not putting in the right options when prompted. I also want to get a hold of someone at the VA, I believe that way I can make sure at least someone is looking at it or has knowledge of its existence. And my eBennies says "Review of Evidence", it was sent by the PEB last week.

if your ebennies says review of evidence (which is past gathering of evidence) it means it has made it to the rating chain all ready, which whereas I am happy for you, its ahead of mine which is still que'd since 18 sep. 2013. I also figure you have less than 7 conditions claimed and have a short period of service.
there is a thread on here about which buttons to push and which prompts to listen for to make sure they got your number for call back. I'd link it for you but sheer spite and jealousy will not allow me to do it.

Thanks for the link. I will look it up as soon as I can. You are also correct, I have less than 7 conditions claimed. I have been in for 7 years now.
