Wait Time For Providence, RI

where are you stationed? Branch of service?
I found out that my package was completed and sent to my PEBLO 3/11 and I didn't get it until 3/25. Accepted the ratings today.
I am stationed aboard MCAS Miramar. My PEBLO is at the Navy Medical Hospital Balboa. How did you find out that the PEBLO got it on the date you provided. I contacted my PEBLO on Monday and he is the one who gave me my preliminary ratings, but then he ended with "we should be getting your findings any day now". I don't know what that means.

I was told on about 3/14 that my package was in DC and had not yet been completed but should be done within a few weeks. I was told that by the medical board supervisor, a civilian, not my assigned PEBLO. I could not get in touch with them. The only reason I found my date of completion was when I got my ratings it said printed on 3/11. My PEBLO admitted that I didn't get it sooner only because THEY were behind. I was very upset but what was I really going to say considering I had my ratings in front of me.

Judging by what your PEBLO told you...Id take their word for it. My package was accepted by DC for action 3/7, completed 3/11, and didn't get the ratings until 3/25.
Your prelim ratings are more than likely what you will get. Its probably being QCed before it is electronically sent to your PEBLO for action. I am confident you will get it VERY VERY SOON.

Nope, Same here. I am like a dog. Wagging my tail every time the phone rings. Mine moved to Pend Dec app on the 3rd Of Mar. So looking at others timelines......
I got mine in just a little less than a month of pending decision on ebennies. If not the last few days of this month Id bet next month for sure.

Well Providence must be moving along. The VA had my case December 12, 2013. My ebenefits was at Gathering Evidence for a long time and changed to Review of Evidence on 3/11/2014. Today 03/25/2014 it jumped to Preperation for Decision and Waiting Decision Approval! So can anybody tell me the time table from here? Thanks!
When mine went to pending decision approval 2/26. Sent to my MSC from the VA 2/27. Received for action 3/4. Completed 3/11. Briefed on ratings 3/25. Accepted 3/26.
Hope that helps.
The only reason I found out it got sent from the VA was calling 5 times and getting a little different story each time. Ive been told on several occasions that ebennies was not designed for IDES and is not always accurate. So be careful taking what it says to heart.

yep that's correct because my ebonies has said review of evidence since my c&p exams were sent to peblo/msc. I called today and they said my package was in the rating something getting ready for rating officer or some shit..i forgot...

I hope its before the end of the first week of April and hope that its a favorable outcome. Once the DOD finds out you are seperating they make life as hard as posible. If you want to Re up... Whole different story. Anyone ever thought the same?

Marine out of MCRD San Diego. PEB processed out of NMCSD (Balboa).

PEB mailed: 14 JAN 14
PEB Received in DC: 17 JAN 14
PEB unfit ruling: 24 JAN 14
case sent/ received at RI: 31 JAN 14
Has been in "review of evidence" since
Day 54, give or take a couple

My PEBLO told me to call him 6 weeks from the receipt date at RI for him to check the status. He also stated that ratings were being completed in 2-3 months at RI. Based on other posts it appears that his timeline is actually a short, best case estimate. I was submitted for 18 total conditions, 3 unfitting conditions by DOD.

We just got my husbands ratings back from the VA after beginning this whole process last summer. 50% DOD, 100% VA Permanent Disability. Not happy with the DOD - but we're taking it. He retires 3/31, and is already overseas on his first civilian contract. So glad its over!!!! I'm really happy I found this board so we knew what to expect. What they tell you is going to happen is totally different from what really does happen.

Welcome to the PEB Forum! :)

Indeed, congratulations on the receipt of DoD and DoVA proposed ratings!

To that extent, take care and enjoy your military disability retirement! :D

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Best Wishes!

fjdiaz my peblo told me pretty much the same thing. Anywhere from 5 weeks to 3 months on the long end.

Ok so. Went to pending approval 2 weeks ago. Called VA and they said they sent to PEB on 3/14. So I called my PEBLO. He looked in his little system and told me that the PEB received preliminary ratings from the VA on 3/25..... I'm not going to even try to figure out that 9 day discrepancy. I'm thinking of it as lost days. Anyway, PEBLO said that I will have my 199 by next Friday for sure. I hope he's right!

So, what is the difference between 30% and 100% DOD if you have a 100% VA?

Basically, they are two different disability ratings for two different organizations/agencies providing separate federal disability compensation benefits.

To that extent, military disability retirement pay is calculated on the basis of your actual disability rating (e.g., 30% disability rating or higher) or length of service rating (e.g., 2.5% x years of service), whichever is higher.

That said, the military disability rating percentage is capped at 75% albeit the length of service rating no longer has a 75% cap.

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

My package still shows in ebennies that it is at preperation for decision, been there a week now. Anyone else see their package stay at this part this long?

My Ebenefits changed from Reviewing Evidence to "Preperation for Decision" and "Pending Decision Approval" all in one day on the March 25th.

Don't trust ebennies. Ive signed my ratings and it still stay pending decision approval

if you're active duty it shouldn't change till you get and turn in your dd214 and the finalize everything. I just want mine to get to the pending decision approval stage!!!

My ebennies is still at supervisor approval stage, and i retire in three weeks. So yeah don't trust ebennies.

So PEBLO hasn't told me ratings yet but I should have the 199 next week. On a side note, he said we don't call it a 199. It's called an election of options form. Made me feel stupid, but I'm like 'tomato, tomahto.' Anyway, he wouldn't tell me ratings but asked me what timeframe I'm looking to be out of the military. I told him as soon as humanly possible as I miss my kids. He said if I sign next week I can be out as early as the end of MAY!........ That is not quick. I am confused. I see people here all the time that get ratings and go on terminal 2 days later. And they don't have a lot of leave saved up either. What gives?
