Camp Lejeune timeline

My MSC called me today to handle my outbound stuff. He sent me a dependent form and told me to email him the file, and let me know to upload my DD-214 on the VA website when I got it. Also gonna email him a copy in case something goofs up.
Sweet. You ask if your files have left the PEB yet and gotten to MMSR-4?

Didn't ask because I know he wouldn't know. "You'd have to ask your PEBLO" is what I'm certain he would say. Best thing to do there is just call MMSR-4 but my CoC said to call by next Friday and if there isn't a new date to get them involved.

I forgot to post another update on this, I called on Tuesday (they were open surprisingly) and MMSR-4 told me that they haven't gotten my findings from the PEB just yet, but did tell me that I should expect to get my new EAS either this Friday (tomorrow) or next week. Once I get my new EAS I can fill out my SBP and everything. I'm taking leave for a week to breathe and also finish out everything: in that week I'm seeing a financial advisor to finish out the SBP and also to get my ducks in a row. I'm still going to speak with VERA about the likely ACE exam next week as well.

WWBn also called me and told me that I will not be receiving retirement pay before my VA pay kicks in, but I've heard otherwise so I'm pretty lost on that.

I was also advised by my MSC to speak with VA home loan people to get proof of income before I EAS so that I don't have any issues with getting an apartment after service. Gonna email the VA liaison appointed to me about this.

Awesome. We should get ours the same time then seeing as we signed our stuff within the same hour.

And you mean proof of income as in VA disability? How would I get that?

IIRC you have to discuss it with the VA home loan authority, but it would likely quote your active pay rather than your VA pay.

I signed on the 13th and they are saying they're assigning my date as of the 21st so about a week. The number is (703) 784-9308 or 9309 or 9321.

Just called them, they haven't even received my file yet lol. I hate this system.

Call Monday morning but expect your EAS to be the 30th of July or the 15th of August at the latest.
Yeah I’ve only got 20 days of leave rn so I was expecting around July 30. Gonna try and change it to asap though.

I would consider leaving it. I know a lot of people warn to not sell leave since it's heavily taxed, but if reported correctly you can get that money back in your tax returns.

Recently had a really good job offer just curious if my PEB got accepted on May 21st when I should give them a rough estimate to start VA app shows claim closed since FEB 8 and have proposed ratings of 90% VA my PEBLO told me to go ahead and start looking for jobs

I have but it says he’s out of office till June 28th and the number that it says to call doesn’t pick up tried calling numerous times at all different times since it’s eastern time and I’m in west coast

EAS just officially updated on MOL to 20240730
Mine’s updated as well lol. Guess the MMSR-4 guy was wrong when he said they didn’t receive my file yet. Unless they worked over the weekend. August 15th

PEB has finally been accepted on 6/20 after my PEBLO dropping the ball and delaying it a month. Ive been in decision phase since middle may. Any ballpark idea on how much longer?
