  • I'm new here and i have a deadline as of today requiring me to submitt supporting documentation just to Start a LD investagation. I have supplied everything that i have for my claim of service aggravation within the MONG. They aren't satisfied and will not start a LOD investigation. Do i have a right to a LD determination and if so how can i get it enforced?
For some reason the titles of each thread are gone, they are white like the background. Happened a couple of days ago... any idea what's wrong?

Thanks for the "bug report." I recently did an upgrade and some styling elements changed. I just looked at that issue and I believe I fixed the text color. Can you confirm if it is showing black letters now? Thanks again!

    It's all fixed now, thanks
Quick question. I just started the MEB process and have about 5000 active duty points and 5000 RC points for retirement. Will they be lumped together to surpass the magic number of 7200?? I have about 14.5 years of Active Duty and 5 years National Guard time.
I am a title 32 AGR called to Title 10 Active Duty for Afghan Deployment. Was found to have PTSD and sent to the MEB Process. They pulled me from title 10 and put me back on title 32 during the process stating that active duty is active duty. Was I supposed to remain on title 10 until the MEB is over or was it legal to put me on title 32 status with the MEB going on?

Somewhat complicated issue...you probably should have stayed Title 10. Not sure if it will matter in your case (and much of appeals on this point is tied to whether your are out any money by virtue of the change in status).
The PDBR denied my request. My senators office wants me to file a request with Navy board of Corrections. What difference does that make? I need help, should I get an attorney?

I will reply to your email. Short answer, though, is that once you have gone to PDBR to increase your ratings, you cannot apply to BCMR for same issues.
I know it's not your bag, but I was approached with a question. My cousin is looking for advice/counsel to get his discharge from the AF upgraded. You've provided me with such a great service through my MEB/PEB, I was wondering if this is in your scope or if your know of a good attorney that you could recommend? Thanks in advance.

I do handle those type of cases. However, it must be understood that these can be difficult to win. If your cousin would like to contact me on this matter, best if he sends me an email at [email protected] .

Thanks. I've forwarded your info on to him. I do want to thank you again for your service to us "broken" folks. I can't say how much I've learned and appreciate this site.
Hello Jason, do I have any protection or rights in reference to proposed ratings prior to separation and final rating. I had a proposed rating of 100% for Menieres and received Army retirement pay as such until final VA award was decided. This changed to 30% but I nothing has improved and I had no appointment or treatment prior to or since the proposed and final rating.

Need more details....were you on TDRL for a period of time or was this a reduction post placement on PDRL. Something sounds wrong here, just need to understand the situation. Baseline answer is yes, you have rights/protections. Best to start a thread on your question. I am limited to response length here.
Hey Jason, I'd like to introduce myself. I am currently going through the informal PEB and waiting on an unfit/fit determination since May 23, 2013. I currently have a BS in Criminal Justice and will be finishing up my Masters in Public Administration spring of 2014. Any advice on career options after the military? Should I consider law school and will the GI Bill cover that? Thanks

    phillymarine,

As to law school, like anything else, it's best to work doing something you love. Hard part is that it is hard to know before you finish law school what the actual practice of law is like. It is expensive. And, there are a lot of unemployed attorneys out there. On the other hand, it can be a very enjoyable profession.

GI Bill should be available for law school- however, it may not cover all of the costs. Feel free to follow up with any questions. Good luck!
Quick question I was hoping you could help me out with. I am just starting the MEB process (Active Army, 14+ yrs) and have not been assigned a lawyer or PEBLO or anything. What are the benefits or instances in which it would be beneficial to hire a civilian lawyer (such as yourself) to take me through the entire MEB process as opposed to the appointed JAG lawyer. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi there. My husband just received a denial for TSGLI stating his injury wasn't due to trauma. The paperwork clearly states that a trauma is classified as "falling out of a tub" etc. my husband was injured in Iraq and then once home, sustained another injury after falling off our porch and landing on his back. He has since had a lower lumbar fusion. Does this sound like a normal denial??

Hard to say without seeing the evidence and the denial letter.
    Jason,
Not sure if this is the right place to contact you, I'm lookinbg at a possible congressional inquiry. Iwas denied a Formal board. Had some questions for you about what I should ask, and if there is anything you recommend that I ask, since I know you have had issues in the past with the way the Navy does bussiness. Thanks, EODMstr
In case you aren't paying attention, the Spurs once again are playing Championship level basketball. I sense a sweep of the Lakers.
    Hello Jason
I was just told I was approved to go into a WTU to start the MEB process. The only 2 options are FT Hood or at FT Polk. I am currntly station in Arkansas. I am an Active duty CPT with 24 years of Active Sevice and I really want to focus on transitioning out of the Army while getting my medical needs taking care of. Which WTU is a better fit with resource and less headaches?
It came fro U.S. Army Human Resources Command, Total Combat-Related Disability 100 % Effective March 2009. Looks like CW Bum signed it.
