It wasn't severance, just last paycheck with leave; medically retired. I was paid on 20OCT23.

I can tell you from experience. As a SWO, no matter how good of a letter you get for retention from the chain of command, you will not be found fit on those meds. They need us to be deployable on a ship. Just drag out the timeline as much as you can to reach 20!

I am curious as well. My last day was August 30th. I received my final paycheck but am still owed from selling leave. With the government shutdown looming, I was curious if I would get my first retirement check and leave $ in October.

Both conditions were developed while deployed....but the findings did not show combat related since I was not diagnosed until I returned from deployment and went to the hospital to be tested.

60DoD/80VA

Morning! First off, still waiting on attorney and only have a couple days left to sign/accept findings... I was refered for 2 conditions One was 60% Other not rated, found fit (but doesn't make sense why) Being over 20, should I even fight this? Retirement is capped at longevity, so I don't...

My DoD rating for asthma was 60%. Biologics played no roll in ratings as predicted. I hope this helps other folks who are questioning how Biologics affect VA ratings for Asthma.

Finally got the call. 60% DoD /80% VA

The rep said it was still under review and would not share rating information

I am calling the hotline now. I will let you know what they say. The PEBLO office is close, but my rep is a teleworker out of DC.

Nothing....Peblo never answers emails or calls. Been reassigned to 4 or 5 different VA reps and now I am waiting for a new attorney as well....

I am a bit jealous, no one has contacted me yet regarding my findings. My case closed 26Apr. Very frustrating, I have contacted everyone I can think of and no one can tell me why haven't been contacted yet.

Mine closed 26Apr and I have not seen ratings yet... Seems like it takes about 2 weeks looking at other posts.

VA is all about following the rating criteria. Biologics for Asthma are all considered monoclonal antibodies, not immunosuppressive. I don't think biologics play any roll in considering ratings. For all our sakes, I wish it did. I guess we will see after your VARR retanner.

That was a quick turnaround. I am glad your overall was 100, but very strange that your asthma was only rated 0 while on biologics.

I really hope the people on the board place themselves in your shoes before making a decision. You are so close! I am rooting for you. I am curious to know if you will get another 15 days to sign/accept findings?

Mine was the same way. It's with the rater now, so when I get results I will post them.
