Did your lawyer end up having VTA access?
My lawyer cancelled my appointment and scheduled for the 28th. Works out since I'll be on a 96 anyway.

I emailed my PEBLO. Calls went to voicemail.

WWBN was sadly pretty useless too. The rep did their best and texted me this:

My supervisor checked and you are only 39 days into the PEB. They do have the proposed VA ratings, but they are not entered in the system, so there is no way to know what they are.
You now have to wait for the DOD side. You have approximately another 45-70 days before you will have your findings back

I let them know I already had the proposals, and they responded with this:

You have approximately 45-70 days before your findings are officially back with the PEBLO. You won't do anything weith what they sent you now. You have to wait for everything to come back and them you can accept your findings or file an appeal if you don't agree with them (that is DOD and VA). They come back together

Since WWBN had the most up to date (but info I already knew) info, I asked if they knew I was unfit or not. The responded:

He just gets a roster every week that shows where you are in the process and it is a week behind what your PEBLO would have. And he can only see the fit/unfit determination if they enter it and they have not been doing that lately

Seems as though a lot of the work done behind the scenes isn't logged very often, and when it's logged it's done late or improperly.

I will say this though: from the 19th to the 20th I called the 1000 number only to be told I was in the decision phase when that entire line of conversation was a script read off by agents unfamiliar with IDES. Unfortunately 9 times out of 10 once you mention IDES the agents will have no idea what you're talking about, ask to put you on hold, and come back with a scripted answer of directing you to the MSC. 1 out of 10 times you'll get an individual that knows what's going on, or an individual that will just send you any attached files to your claim. That's the only way I know my proposals right now.

It's a weight off my shoulders to see the proposals, I sat there and removed percentages on the off chance any of them wouldn't stick, even removing the top 4 highest percentages I still end up being 100% with 40% DoD. If any of you guys have a super hard time waiting with nothing, it might be worth a shot to see if you can get someone willing to send you your files if they happen to be attached already.

As of 20240522 Jeff tells me the PEB hasn't posted that they have the proposals. My guess is that they aren't checking their inbox before the holiday. No idea if or when I was found unfit, but the blurb at the beginning of my decision letter seems to claim I was found unfit some time ago.

My PEBLO actually answered her phone when I called her today. Unfortunately, she claims to have nothing for me. I did call the VA and they told me they are “preparing a decision”. I may give Jeff a call tomorrow. Seeing your progress is giving me hope.

PEBLO called me back and told me that he won't be giving any internal update since it will only generate more questions from me. I will probably never know if or when I was found unfit haha. I'm confident nothing will happen until after the holiday but Jeff told me yesterday he expects things to come back to the PEB in a couple days.

Did your stuff ever update in the VA app?

What @Larsoc said is true, though I've heard mixed results about a claim populating at all while you're in. Seems I'm one of the cases that will only see anything when I'm on the very tail end. Believe me when I say I check daily.

I did call the 1000 number yet again though. They told me that they did in fact see the proposals get created on the 17th, and that they were forwarded to the PEB today. I'm gonna assume they took a little bit of time to find some of my missing STR's. At the bottom of my proposals this note was left:

VSR, add to deferral in deferral tab: VSR, please develop for missing entrance examination and/or any other missing STRs. If entrance examination or any other STRs
remain missing, please send the SM final notification letter.

It's anyone's guess exactly what those comments might pertain to. I have a single deferred claim for CFS, so the notes may only apply to the deferred claim. My PEBLO and I tried to find my entrance physical, but we couldn't find it despite scouring through my OMPF and even contacting my recruiters, my MEPS liaisons, everything. I'm assuming if they also can't find it for whatever reason, they'll simply proceed with assuming I was a clean slate coming in.

The only things denoted on my entrance exam was previous diagnoses of MDD, PTSD, and osgood schlatters with no diagnosis, though my MH claim is for "ADJUSTMENT DISRODER WITH MIXED ANXIETY AND DEPRESSED
MOOD AND INSOMNIA DISORDER STATUS POST TRAUMATIC BRAIN
INJURY" and yes the proposals spelled it "DISRODER" instead of disorder. I would presume since the diagnosis is different it wouldn't have direct relation to pre-existing diagnoses.

Was curious if for whatever reason the percentages I got for knees and mental health were thrown out how the numbers would stack up, they still total to 100% with 40% DoD.

At this point I'm not really worried about percentages anymore. What I am worried about is time, and I'm sure many of you share that sentiment. I'll keep you all posted.

Anyone get an update today?
Confirmed with another agent on the 1000 number that the proposals were finalized and sent to the PEB yesterday. The guy read a script confirming that it's out of the VA's hands now. The agent let me know that the next time I deal with the VA will be to turn in my DD-214 to begin compensation.

From how the agent explained it to me, the process begins with an internal check that is quite short, with a follow-on action that actually physically sends the PEB the proposals.

Often times I will get an agent that is unfamiliar with IDES, and will read the status of my claim as a regular claim. On that front, they let me know that "a decision has been made and it is pending decision approval". I said the same thing Monday on this thread, but apparently it was still in the decision phase and only recently reached the approval request.

Seems like a lot of the people watching this thread and are at a similar stage can simply call the VA and get their proposals emailed to them with some trial and error.

My peb was accepted may 9th and today I called the VA 800# and got my descion letter lookin at about 30% DOD 90% VA!
Didn’t realize it was this easy lol I have the same date as you and i just called, they said im in the decision phase so im hoping soon. Congrats!

Just called the 1000 number, they told me they were giving it a “final review” she said “it looks like they’re about to wrap this thing up.”
I’m hoping this is promising news!

Huge news; VA.Gov actually had information for me. Had to Google what bel stood for, but it means benefits estimate letter. Step 2/5 initial review.

Very possible that these are done in batch. I was verbally told the proposals were forwarded on that day as well. You might be able to call and get those files emailed to you if you care to see it early.

Speaking to my attorney in about 30 minutes. Gonna discuss the proposals given to me along with seeing if he's got access to the VTA tracker. Money says he doesn't.

Nothing pertinent was told to me, but he did tell me he just reviewed IPEB results from a Marine who entered the PEB late March. He said based on that, I could expect to hear back in the next couple weeks.

I received an email from my PEBLO today in which she was CCing me on to get me in touch with a POC to provide me with a “schedule A letter”, I’m hoping this is some backwards way of telling me I’ve been found unfit?
I emailed her back inquiring, but the chances of me getting a response is slim to none.

What in the hell is a schedule A letter? You could be right, seems as though all contact from the PEBLO is very intentional.

So based on my very limited research I believe that it’s something that’ll aid me when interviewing for potential jobs, which is why it’s leading me to believe I was found unfit. I asked her if my understanding is correct, if not could she explain it to me and what it indicates. However, like I said, the chances of me getting a response is slim to none. I don’t mean this disrespectfully at all as I know PEBLOs have their plates full, but mine seems kind of “spacey” for example she addressed me today as “sergeant” when I’m in the Navy. So, her sending me this info could also be an oversight or mistake. We’ll see if I get any further elaboration.
