Trevman/JMATTK:
Looks like I was wrong. I know this is not rocket science, but the computation is not always straight-forward either. The wait time for actual payments and processing can be frustrating...believe me, I know. In my case, I filed for VA disability in Jul 2023. It came back for 2 medical conditions with a combined 40% in Nov 2023. I filed a second in Dec 2023 and also filed for CRSC as all my med issues are agent orange (Vietnam) presumptive. VA came back in April 2024 and gave me a new rating of 90%. Again, I sent it to the CRSC office for review and inclusion to my original submission. One week after getting the 90% rating from VA, I was diagnosed with bladder cancer and sent in a 3rd disability application to VA, again presumptive to agent orange. Much to my surprise, VA responded in 10 days and gave me a 100% rating. Again, I sent the new update to CRSC and was told by them that my processing "time-clock" would restart and they should have an answer for me after working with DFAS around Thanksgiving. Dfas says that they are now going to put my case into a 3rd audit and could take 3-6 months. In the mean time, no back pay, no real $$ at all since the original VA payments were offset against my retired pay (20+ yrs service). It has been a roller coaster of sorts, even though I know CRSC, VA, and DFAS are just doing their jobs. Hope you, Trevman, have quicker, "cleaner" results.
