Insomnia Diagnosis

So, I have recently been put up for MEB. I am trying to get a timeline and what to expect. Unfortunately, I have only been in 3 1/2 years, and I was diagnosed with moderate to extreme insomnia in sept 2024. They tried ambien, cognitive behavioral therapy, and now a new sleeping medication, which none of these things have helped. I was put up in Feb, just signed CC recommendation to not retain last week, and I am still waiting to hear back from the board. Any idea how long this takes? Steps after I hear back from the board? I joined at 17 and planned on retiring at 37, but if it comes back I can't stay in, I want to be as prepared as I can to prepare a future for myself. I have a few other medical issues, along with knee surgery in the past, but the main reason for being put up is the insomnia.

Are u on control substances for insomnia?

Technically, yes. So, I tried ambien for little less than a month in Dec before doing CBT. It didn't help, so they took me off. two weeks ago, I started a new one that MDG had not heard of, as my neurologist had prescribed it, and told me to let them know how it works. Its a 25mg sleep aid that I have not seen any improvement using so far, so I will probably stop taking it here soon
