Naval Medical Center Portsmouth (NMCP)

Anyone in the Virginia Beach, Portsmouth, or Norfolk area currently in the PEB phase. I was found unfit 23OCT24 and trying to gauge a timeline for the VA to send my findings. Been seeing 60-85 day turnaround from other branches and locations here on this forum. Please share or drop some knowledge/timelines if willing. Thanks.

Who's got that hookup to check names?

I was told today that retirement orders won’t be processed or released until my retirement/separation package is processed in Sales Force. Anyone know if this is true?

Yes. Your separation package/checklist needs blocks 1-17 filled out and the PDRL message. Admin can use that to submit and get your orders started. You can finish the rest of rest stuff as you can.

Gotcha. Had no idea that was a thing. Turned everything in today so hopefully admin processes it fairly quick.

Help me understand this, you already received your oix message of your separation date, after that you do a retirement/separation package to get your orders what?

Basically before you get your orders to go bye-bye navy (like never coming back). You have to get your separation package done. Things like medical signatures, dental signatures, TAPS classes, Capstone Etc Etc. then you give those COMPLETED items to your admin so they can THEN process your orders through salesforce. You get your orders, dd214 processed and then you can leave for good. Hope this helps.

You can find the stuff you need and the link below. I believe NPPSC 1800/1 is the retirement checklist. Look it over and you can see exactly what admin will be asking from you. I pulled it about it month ago so that when the time comes I only have a few tiny things to get done and I can submit everything. That said, most people are able to knock these things out relatively quickly (1-2 days).

yep yep this is correct and just submitted my retirement package thru my admin. also NSIPC code has changed to now reflect separation/retirement.

Yeah I don't know anymore. I still haven't received the message yet. Today marks exactly a month from when I signed, so I don't know what the hold up is, I've emailed PERS, Peblo, and talked to the coordinators, they all don't know why it hasn't been sent yet.

For people who received the message, did it update on Nsips or ETJ?
It reflected on NSIPS member data summary. Just the code for separation/retirement. The separation date doesn’t show any change and still reflects my original EOAS.

Yeah lol I work with the people who give out orders at TSC Norfolk. It’s a fairly quick process shouldn’t be no later than a week.
Mine should be getting input to Sales Force today or tomorrow. Hook it up hahaha. A week turnaround time isn’t bad.
