All,
My results came in from the IPEB. It was almost ten weeks, but the day arrived. PDRL 60%. They stipulated that it was based on the VASRD and NDAA 2008. Typically this disability was rated as between 10% and 30% according to the AFI. So to see that they applied the new law was great. I am waiting on one change that indicates my disability was caused by an instrumentality of war. Other than this minor issue, that I have been told can be resolved at the current level without going to a formal board, will mean that I sign in the next day or two and start the retirement process. Thank you Jason for the site. I could not have done it without you. The thing that probably matter most in my case was specifying the law and VASRD code in my letter to the board and why I felt the NARSUM was steering them down the wrong path of the old system.
