I'll try to keep this question short, here it goes;
So, I endured the IDES process for over a year and was finally determined UNFIT and agreed on my findings of 0% DoD, 40% VA (I got completed screwed. Should be rated MUCH higher but I didn't have any steam left in me to fight it anymore). My EAOS was October 17th this year.
My question is about severance recoupment. My condition IS NOT combat related. However, I was told my numerous people, including 2 IDES attorneys and several VA reps that I would NOT have to pay back my severance pay because I was rated at 0% DoD.
Is this true?
Double Jeopardy bonus question: To whee do I email/fax/snail-mail my information for tax return purposes for the severance pay? I can't find this information for the life of me.
