Congratulations...Severance hit today. They weren't suppose to tax it but did so I sent in a request for a refund. That'll take a few weeks I'm sure but the rest is finally here. Lol
I just spoke with DFAS today. The lady on the phone said she could see someone working on it last friday. And it was in an audit and they had to send it back to review. Now they are telling me we are in the last stages of this thing.
I came off of TDRL on April 1 and am still waiting for my severance payment. I received my separation orders on March 12. I have been told that it can take up to 60 days to receive payment.
Did you ever receive your severance?
Per DFAS:I did, I received it on Jun 21. I am in the process of submitting a claim to get my taxes back because I have already had a VA rating/compensation from 2017. Was wondering if anyone knew the correct fax number? I submitted an online request and they told me I needed to contact DFAS Cleveland (bc they deal with Marines) and left me in the dust.
Per DFAS:
