TDRL Confusion - Help!

I'll try to make this quick... Active duty Air Force member for 6 years. I went through MEB process, got ratings back at 70% TDRL on military side, and 100% on VA side. Once I'm out, which compensation will I start receiving? And how does the TDRL process work/what does it look like, for those of you who have some experience with it? Most of my 70% military rating is for mental health, so how do the follow up exams work and will I eventually be re-rated? How does the board decide if a condition is stable or unstable?

At this point, am I even considered retired if I am on the TDRL?

Apologies if this has already been answered previously... I know I have multiple questions within one post, but I have read various threads with conflicting information so I am pretty confused at this point. I am also in contact with my PEBLO, but I'd really like to hear from members who have already gone through this TDRL process, as I am just starting it. Thank you!

You now have two threads with the same questions.

Hello,

You will be receiving what I outlined in detail for you.

Bottom line: You will not end up with less than your VA compensation. If there is any residual retired pay left over from the dollar for dollar reduction/waive/0ffset, you get that too. Payments are effective the day you enter into a retired status and disbursed
as follows:

—VA comp = the end of the month that follows the month having the effective date (it accrues beginning the first day of the month following the month having the effective date; payments actually occur on/about the 1st of the next month)
In other words, about 30 days or so after you retire depending on date of retirement.)

—Residual retired pay (unlikely in your case) first day of the month following the month of accrual.

Ron

Added: the “R“ in TDRL stands for retired.

Ron, thanks for breaking it down for me. My reasoning for starting this thread was to have a more recent post with my exact information/situation rather than commenting on someone else's thread. I also would like to hear from others who were/are on the TDRL and how that process works once I am separated... For example, other members' experiences with mental health conditions and how they go from unstable to stable.
